While Grindcore and Goregrind have never been my cup of tea, I occasionally like to check out a new band of the genre in search of something fresh, different, or experimental. Unfortunately, I very rarely find any of these ingredients. Time and again I have been disappointed by the ghastly, untalented, and boring nature of these so-called 'bands', and AWAITING THE AUTOPSY is quite possibly the most unbearable half-hour wait in purgatory I could ever have imagined. If their goal was to release the most uncreative, untalented, unmusical, and unlistenable time kill of my life, then that's a job well done. It is also the only foreseeable goal they could ever have hoped to accomplish with their complete lack of skill and ingenuity.

From start to finish, "Couldn't Tell The Bodies Apart" gives all little boys and girls hope for their own future record deals in the music industry. The only display of sincerity shown by this group is the art on their cover, which makes me wonder if the whole album was just a ploy to get that grotesque vision out into the world. Perhaps with the exception of "Wormpaste", "Torture Garden", and "Facelifter", the tracks constantly switch back and forth between two beats, employing the power of one (apparently all-encompassing) note. Just when you think you've experienced everything they have to offer, they'll throw in a pinch harmonic or two to treat us for our dedication. For fans of hearing girls get ripped apart, there is plenty of that in store for you as well.

"Couldn't Tell The Bodies Apart" is a title that constantly reminds me that I couldn't tell the songs apart. To assume that the entire album was written in ten minutes is more like a solemn hope for their sakes than an actual guess, and I can't stress enough how much it isn't worth ten minutes of anyone else's time. For fans of the Goregrind genre, I would stick to the big names instead.
